Shoe Crush.

In no uncertain terms... I.NEED.THESE.SHOES.

Ferragamo's Vara & Varina. Classic, stylish and absolutely delicious. Because it's summer and I have a very strict sandal only policy this time of year I'm going to start saving my pennies for a end of summer purchase.

I'm thinking nude, navy & gold. What's your favorite combo?

On Wednesday we wear pink.

I've had a long standing relationship with the color pink. Every since I could differentiate colors I always gravitated towards pink and left the secondary color to my little sister. Which lead me down a road of pink on pink on pink. Pink sneakers, pink tights, pink skirt, pink top and of course the pink bow to top off the whole ensemble.  In middle school I had a pink backpack, in high school I had a pink skirt that I wore to death and in college I had dorm room covered in pink. Since college though I've really taken a step back from my pink loving ways, leaning more towards classic navy and trading my poppy pinks for a more modern poppy red. Changing out my beloved "Thats-Hot-Pink" nail polish for a reddy orange "Cajun Shrimp". As of late though I've turning back to my pink roots. Here are some of my absolute favorite pink finds!

Friendsgiving

This weekend was a perfect chance to catch up with friends over wine & some delicious food at a friendsgiving get together.  It was the first timing having all my friends in my new little apartment and it went fabulous! There was much more space then expected & everyone somehow managed to find a place to sit.. as well as a glass!

Finally ordered my new camera! It's been a long time coming as I've been substituting with my iPhone & little point & shoot for over 2 years. I'm definitely ready for something more advanced & decided on the Nikon CoolPix p7100.  It's in-between a point & shoot and a DSLR. I used a DSLR in college and absolutely loved the manual features & the amazing raw photos but carrying a DSLR around isn't very practical. This time I decided on an in-between camera, the p7100 has all the manual features but is much more compact then the DSLRs... not to mention a significant amount cheaper! I ended up with the p7100 over the p7700 because of the cost... hopefully I won't regret that decision! I'm exited to share new, crisp & beautiful photos with you!

I'll be spending my weekend cozying up with my favorite J.Crew cashmere, hosting a friendsgiving & doing some apartment renovations! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Black

So I'm painting my door (yes only one door in my apartment) black. And I'm telling no one, well except all of you (1 person? maybe) who read this blog.  I am telling no one because everyone I know thinks I'm cray cray. They thing I've gone off the deep end, they judged me when I ripped our my kitchen in my rented (yes, rented) apartment. They judged me when I said told them I was painting my walls Grey, "Grey!" they gasped "but why!" the said with horror. Sometimes it amazes me how little people trust my amazing design abilities. I'm not trying to brag here but if there is on thing I know it's color. Relax people I got this.

Anyways in a quest to make my apartment the most adorable place that I'll never want to leave I'm going to paint my one door black.  And ya know what, it's going to look stunning. Stay tuned for some very professional photos. Oh & this amazing idea came from the most amazing blogger, Daniel, from Manhattan-nest.com.  I'm obsessed with his blog, he's so witty I usually have to read his posts in private as I tend to end up hysterically laughing.
